You May Have Already Won

Lest we forget, it's time to announce the winner in The Game Of Chance.

I forgot to take any pictures upon arriving in New York so this shot from Narita Airport is the last I took in Japan, and thus the Number In The Hat.

Nearly 6,500 shots. No one was very close. Everyone but my Dad and Uncle guessed too low. Here's how it broke down:

Discounting Daniel's oddball guess of 1 (cunning!), the furthest off was Jesse. Guessing 1,024 (insisting on a binary number) he was off by 5,74 pictures. I've uploaded over two thousand pictures so clearly someone's got something else on his mind.

And the winner with the closest guess, a mere 1,071 pictures off the mark, was Maggie Stigler!

But wait! Dave later revised his guess to one higher. Should it be allowed? Something smells fishy and since it's easier to toss a trinket at Stigler in Pittsburgh on Saturday than Dave in Hong Kong, the First Guesses Will Stand.

Good work, Margaret, you win it all. And everyone else gets naught but scorn and ridicule. And maybe some consolation prizes, we'll see what happens.
